Review: Nakano Azusa Figma

Following off the heels of Yui, Mio and Tsumugi, I now present the review of moeblob #2 Nakano Azusa! Azusa (Azunyan~) is the 2nd guitarist of the K-On club and she acts as some sort of check and balance to the club’s frequent bouts of randomness… rather unsuccessful though. =3

Nothing much to say here…

Azusa has a red ribbon instead of blue as she is 1 year below the rest of the girls, making her their junior. For some reason, the Anime to Figma conversion worked out especially well for Azunyan and she looks like she just stepped out of a picture. The two pigtails are on little ball joints and they are made of hard plastic. Just be gentle when moving them about if you are worried about breakage.

Side views of Azusa.

Azusa comes with more or less the same deal as Yui and Mio does, except that her indoor shoes are red instead of pink and also a Nekomimi hairband!

A closer look a Azusa’s guitar, Muttan. I don’t really like the shade of red/pink for the guitar and would prefer it to be a deeper red. Still the basic paint applications are laid on nicely and its comparable to Yui’s and Mio’s guitars.

Now let’s have fun with the face-plates!

I absolutely adore angry faces for my Figmas or Nendoroids and Azusa comes with one! This is the cross expression she displays whenever the rest of the girls are eating cake instead of practising. かわいい!

Azunyan~ also comes with the nyaa nyaa~ face and the Nekomimi (猫耳) head band for even more cuter poses. I still prefer the angry expression more though.. =3

Azusa with Muttan. I can’t really put my finger on it but she looks really nice with the guitar on her. Like it’s the most natural thing in the world.

Playing with the band there.

Azusa’s bag has 2 straps similar to how Yui’s one is.

In the Anime, Azusa did not really resonate with me as a character but now that I played with the Figma, I can understand why there are legions of Azusa’s fans out there who love her to death. As a Figma, I think it’s the best out of the 5 girls and it will make an excellent starting point to those aiming to begin. She is really cute and looks so natural with a guitar its ridiculous. I don’t regret getting her one bit and even though she is not my favourite K-On girl, she is fun enough to warrant a permanent spot in my collection.

As always, thanks for reading!
